Please note, all orders are shipped from UK.
On the 1st June 1989, Steven Bray established SP Services in Wandsworth, South London. The evolution of the company in the first 18 months far exceeded expectations and quickly outgrew the original premises. It was decided that a move to a more central location was necessary to encompass service to all of the valued customers in both the North and South of England, hence the relocation to Telford, 35 miles west of Birmingham in the heart of the UK.
Over the past +2 decades, we have continued with our business expansion and just before Christmas 1997, we moved into larger premises on Hortonwood, Telford.
In April 2013 SP moved again to a new building in Telford, Bastion House. Bastion was completely refitted specifically to meet the growing needs of SP Services’ UK based operations. The warehouse at Bastion House is several times the size of SP’s old premises, allowing the company to keep significantly more products in stock in greater numbers.
Steven Bray developed a long-standing interest in First Aid and Immediate Care. With previous experience, both in the NHS and the leisure industry, he realised the need for the right training and the provision of the right equipment was essential. Steven is currently an associate member of BASICS (British Association of Immediate Care), a Founder Member of The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care in The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the British Association of EMT's and an Associate Member of the British Paramedic Association - College of Paramedics. He is still actively involved in Pre-hospital care in both Shropshire and London. He is also a past chairman of the First Aid Distributors section of the BHTA - British Healthcare Trade Association and a founder member of the EMS section. In April 2005 Steve was also made an Honorary Member of the ASI - the Ambulance Service Institute. (full story)
The company currently employs thirty five staff on a full time and part time basis to ensure that all orders are speedily and efficiently processed. We pride ourselves in our reputation for a fast and efficient service. For example, for a small surcharge, if required, a customer can phone before 5pm and we can have it delivered to them by 9am the following day. Same day deliveries can also be arranged for most parts of the UK, Ireland and Western Europe. Please phone our Customer Services Team to discuss your urgent sameday requirements.
SP Services have always intended to supply only high quality products from the smallest packet of plasters to the latest in automatic defibrillators. We have successfully done so for the last fourteen years and will continue to do so in the future. Top quality British companies supply the majority of our plasters, dressings and other consumables and are licensed and approved by the Department of Health. Weekly deliveries are received from most suppliers and we hold on average, about £1,250,000 of stock at any one time, enabling us to provide an immediate and uninterrupted supply to our customers.
The staff at SP Services strives to offer the highest level of service to all our customers and are always pleased to discuss individual needs and specific requirements. They are always happy to offer advice on any first aid related equipment when needed. Most members of staff have either a medical or Pre hospital care background or are trained in the use of the equipment by our in house trained paramedic. We have an extensive library of literature and information and we are happy to assist you with any problems or queries.
We supply to the majority of the Statutory NHS Ambulance Services, Police Forces, Fire Services in the UK and to many of Her Majesties Prisons around the country. The UK Military has also become a regular customer with many SP products now having their own NATO Stock Number (NSN).
